New Life Member Peter Cowling

Peter’s wife Barbara says, tongue in cheek, he is married to the club. Certainly in the last ten years, he has served the club through thick and thin. When the club was closing down and the future was uncertain Peter was a board member that supported Steve Granger to analyze the possibilities and determine a way forward. It was a very difficult time and there were many contrasting strong opinions that tested the resolution.  When core issues have been involved on the board Peter has presented his case clearly with conviction. Peter has been a significant contributor to the rejuvenated club. Peter has never been afraid of work. I wouldn’t mind having a dollar for every plate he has washed or every hour he has had behind the bar. His relationships with others brought out the best them as he confirmed and encouraged the good spirit in others. Peter is always a welcomer. His contribution to the Bundanoon Club Board was always considered, concise and patient. Peter is a team player. These attributes could also be attributed to his contribution as a member of the Bundanoon Bowling club where he currently serves as treasurer. Thank you, Peter
